Garden setup guide
How to plan a simple three-zone watering routine
A three outlet garden watering timer is useful when one outdoor tap has to serve more than one part of the garden. A lawn sprinkler may need longer runs, raised bed irrigation often works better with slower watering, and greenhouse watering may need shorter but more regular sessions.
Start with the thirsty areas
Put the lawn, vegetable patch or greenhouse on the outlet that needs the most predictable routine. Then use the remaining outlets for borders, patio planters or a drip irrigation timer layout.
Keep rain delay in your weekly routine
UK weather changes quickly. A rain delay watering timer lets you pause the schedule for wet days without losing the settings you already made.
Check connectors before setup
Before fitting any programmable irrigation controller, check that the outdoor tap, hose connector and pressure range match the product. This model uses BSP 3/4 inch tap timer fitting.
